AIF-M1 Polyclonal Antibody
AIF-M1 Polyclonal Antibody
AIFM1 encodes a flavoprotein essential for nuclear disassembly in apoptotic cells, and it is found in the mitochondrial intermembrane space in healthy cells. Induction of apoptosis results in the translocation of this protein to the nucleus where it affects chromosome condensation and fragmentation. In addition, this gene product (apoptosis inducing factor, mitochondria associated 1) induces mitochondria to release the apoptogenic proteins cytochrome c and caspase-9. Mutations in this gene cause combined oxidative phosphorylation deficiency 6 (COXPD6), a severe mitochondrial encephalomyopathy, as well as Cowchock syndrome, also known as X-linked recessive Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease-4 (CMTX-4), a disorder resulting in neuropathy, and axonal and motor-sensory defects with deafness and mental retardation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 10.
The AIF-M1 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody that has been developed for use in various research applications. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal region of the human AIF-M1 protein. The AIF-M1 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assays.
The AIF-M1 protein is a mitochondrial protein that plays a crucial role in apoptosis and cell death. The AIF-M1 Polyclonal Antibody recognizes the full-length AIF-M1 protein as well as its cleaved fragments, making it an ideal tool for studying the regulation of apoptosis and cell death. This antibody has been shown to be highly specific for AIF-M1 and does not cross-react with other proteins, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
The AIF-M1 Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, which has been affinity-purified using immobilized protein A. This ensures that the antibody is of the highest quality and purity, with minimal background staining. The antibody is supplied in a liquid format, making it easy to use in a variety of applications.
Overall, the AIF-M1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying apoptosis and cell death. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assays.
