Annexin VII Polyclonal Antibody
Annexin VII Polyclonal Antibody
Annexin VII is a member of the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins. The Annexin VII gene contains 14 exons and spans approximately 34 kb of DNA. An alternatively spliced cassette exon results in two mRNA transcripts of 2. and 2. kb which are predicted to generate two protein isoforms differing in their N-terminal domain. The alternative splicing event is tissue specific and the mRNA containing the cassette exon is prevalent in brain, heart and skeletal muscle. The transcripts also differ in their 3'-non coding regions by the use of two alternative poly(A) signals. Annexin VII encodes a protein with a molecular weight of approximately 51 kDa with a unique, highly hydrophobic N-terminal domain of 167 amino acids and a conserved C-terminal region of 299 amino acids. The latter domain is composed of alternating hydrophobic and hydrophilic segments. Structural analysis of the protein suggests that Annexin VII is a membrane binding protein with diverse properties, including voltage-sensitive calcium channel activity, ion selectivity and membrane fusion.
The Annexin VII Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of Annexin VII protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Annexin VII protein. The antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and is supplied as a liquid solution in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
The Annexin VII Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been shown to specifically recognize Annexin VII protein in human, mouse, and rat tissues, making it a versatile tool for researchers studying this protein in different species.
This antibody is highly sensitive, with a detection limit of 0.1 ng of Annexin VII protein, and has a high affinity for its target protein, ensuring accurate and reliable results. It is also highly specific, with minimal cross-reactivity with other proteins, ensuring that the results obtained are specific to Annexin VII protein.
In summary, the Annexin VII Polyclonal Antibody is a high-quality, reliable, and specific tool for the detection of Annexin VII protein in various biological samples. Its sensitivity, specificity, and versatility make it an ideal choice for researchers studying this protein in different species and applications.
