ASC Polyclonal Antibody
ASC Polyclonal Antibody
PYCARD encodes an adaptor protein that is composed of two protein-protein interaction domains: a N-terminal PYRIN-PAAD-DAPIN domain (PYD) and a C-terminal caspase-recruitment domain (CARD).
The PYD and CARD domains are members of the six-helix bundle death domain-fold superfamily that mediates assembly of large signaling complexes in the inflammatory and apoptotic signaling pathways via the activation of caspase. In normal cells, this protein (PYD and CARD domain containing) is localized to the cytoplasm; however, in cells undergoing apoptosis, it forms ball-like aggregates near the nuclear periphery. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for PYCARD.
The ASC Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC) in various biological samples.
This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human ASC protein, and purified using protein A affinity chromatography. The ASC Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It recognizes both the full-length and cleaved forms of ASC protein, and exhibits minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins.
This antibody is suitable for use in basic research, drug discovery, and clinical diagnostics, and is available in various sizes and formats to meet different experimental needs. With its high quality and reliability, the ASC Polyclonal Antibody is an essential tool for investigating the role of ASC in various cellular processes and diseases.
