Axl Polyclonal Antibody
Axl Polyclonal Antibody
The protein encoded by AXL (AXL receptor tyrosine kinase) is a member of the Tyro3-Axl-Mer (TAM) receptor tyrosine kinase subfamily. The encoded protein possesses an extracellular domain which is composed of two immunoglobulin-like motifs at the N-terminal, followed by two fibronectin type-III motifs. It transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding to the vitamin K-dependent protein growth arrest-specific 6 (Gas6). AXL may be involved in several cellular functions including growth, migration, aggregation and anti-inflammation in multiple cell types. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of AXL.
The Axl Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of Axl protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Axl protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards Axl protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The Axl Polyclonal Antibody is validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been extensively tested for its specificity and sensitivity. It recognizes a single band of approximately 140 kDa in Western blot analysis of Axl-expressing cell lysates, and shows minimal cross-reactivity with other related proteins. In addition, this antibody has been shown to detect endogenous Axl protein expression in various tissues, including lung, liver, and brain.
The Axl Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a purified IgG fraction, and is available in various sizes to meet the needs of different applications. It is recommended to use this antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 for Western blotting, and at a dilution of 1:200 for immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. This antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of Axl protein in various biological processes, including cancer, inflammation, and immune regulation.
