Human EpCAM / CD326 ELISA Kit
Human EpCAM / CD326 ELISA Kit
Application: For quantitative detection of EpCAM / CD326 in human serum, plasma, body fluids, tissue lysates or cell culture supernatants.
Introduction: Epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM), also known as CD326 among other names, is a transmembrane glycoprotein mediating Ca2+-independent homotypic cell–cell adhesion in epithelia.EpCAM is also involved in cell signaling, migration, proliferation, and differentiation.Additionally, EpCAM has oncogenic potential via its capacity to upregulate c-myc, e-fabp, and cyclins A & E.Since EpCAM is expressed exclusively in epithelia and epithelial-derived neoplasms, EpCAM can be used as diagnostic marker for various cancers. It appears to play a role in tumorigenesis and metastasis of carcinomas, so it can also act as a potential prognostic marker and as a potential target for immunotherapeutic strategies.
Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-EpCAM / CD326 polyclonal antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-EpCAM / CD326 polyclonal antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the EpCAM / CD326 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of EpCAM / CD326 can be calculated.
Storage and Expiration: Store at 2-8℃ for 6 months, or at -20℃ for 12 months.
Range: 15.6 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml
Sensitivity: < 7.8 pg/ml
