Cdk6 Polyclonal Antibody
Cdk6 Polyclonal Antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase (CDK) family. CDK family members are highly similar to the gene products of Saccharomyces cerevisiae cdc28, and Schizosaccharomyces pombe cdc2, and are known to be important regulators of cell cycle progression. This kinase is a catalytic subunit of the protein kinase complex that is important for cell cycle G1 phase progression and G1/S transition. The activity of this kinase first appears in mid-G1 phase, which is controlled by the regulatory subunits including D-type cyclins and members of INK4 family of CDK inhibitors. This kinase, as well as CDK4, has been shown to phosphorylate, and thus regulate the activity of, tumor suppressor protein Rb. Expression of this gene is up-regulated in some types of cancer. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.
The Cdk6 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of Cdk6 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human Cdk6 protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and validated for its specificity and sensitivity in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.
The Cdk6 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers studying the role of Cdk6 in cell cycle regulation, cell proliferation, and cancer development. It has been shown to detect endogenous Cdk6 protein in various human and mouse tissues, including brain, liver, lung, and spleen. This antibody has also been used to study the expression and localization of Cdk6 in cancer cell lines and tumor tissues, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression.
In summary, the Cdk6 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile reagent for the detection and analysis of Cdk6 protein in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for researchers studying the role of Cdk6 in normal and pathological conditions.
