COMP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
COMP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a noncollagenous extracellular matrix (ECM) protein. It consists of five identical glycoprotein subunits| each with EGF-like and calcium-binding (thrombospondin-like) domains. Oligomerization results from formation of a five-stranded coiled coil and disulfides. Binding to other ECM proteins such as collagen appears to depend on divalent cations. Contraction or expansion of a 5 aa aspartate repeat and other mutations can cause pseudochondroplasia (PSACH) and multiple epiphyseal dysplasia (MED).
The COMP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological tool designed for the detection and quantification of cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using state-of-the-art recombinant DNA technology, ensuring high purity and batch-to-batch consistency.
The COMP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional affinity and selectivity towards COMP, a key extracellular matrix protein involved in cartilage development and maintenance. Its superior sensitivity allows for the detection of even low levels of COMP, making it an ideal choice for research applications requiring accurate and reliable measurements.
This antibody has been extensively validated in various experimental settings, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). Its robust performance and consistent results make it a valuable tool for researchers in the fields of orthopedics, rheumatology, and musculoskeletal biology.
The COMP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation, ready for immediate use. It is provided in a convenient size and concentration, ensuring cost-effectiveness and minimizing waste. Each batch is rigorously quality-controlled to meet the highest standards of performance, ensuring reproducibility and reliability.
In summary, the COMP Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is a cutting-edge immunological reagent that offers exceptional sensitivity, specificity, and reliability for the detection and quantification of COMP. Its high-quality formulation and extensive validation make it an indispensable tool for researchers seeking to unravel the complexities of cartilage biology and related pathologies.
