This gene encodes a classical cadherin of the cadherin superfamily. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically processed to generate the mature glycoprotein. This calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion protein is comprised of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. Mutations in this gene are correlated with gastric, breast, colorectal, thyroid and ovarian cancer. Loss of function of this gene is thought to contribute to cancer progression by increasing proliferation, invasion, and/or metastasis. The ectodomain of this protein mediates bacterial adhesion to mammalian cells and the cytoplasmic domain is required for internalization. This gene is present in a gene cluster with other members of the cadherin family on chromosome 16.

The E-cadherin Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and analysis of E-cadherin protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody is produced using advanced recombinant DNA technology, ensuring high purity and batch-to-batch consistency.

With its exceptional affinity and selectivity, the E-cadherin Polyclonal Antibody enables accurate and reliable identification of E-cadherin, a crucial protein involved in cell adhesion and tissue integrity. This antibody is suitable for a wide range of applications, including immunohistochemistry, western blotting, and flow cytometry.

The E-cadherin Polyclonal Antibody exhibits excellent performance in both formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissues and frozen sections, making it an ideal choice for researchers and clinicians working in the fields of cancer research, developmental biology, and pathology. Its robust and consistent results ensure precise and reproducible data analysis.

Furthermore, this antibody is validated for use in multiple species, including human, mouse, and rat, providing versatility and flexibility in experimental design. Its high sensitivity allows for the detection of low levels of E-cadherin expression, enabling the investigation of subtle changes in protein levels and localization.

In summary, the E-cadherin Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and efficient tool for the detection and analysis of E-cadherin protein expression. Its exceptional specificity, sensitivity, and versatility make it an invaluable asset for researchers and clinicians alike, facilitating advancements in various fields of biomedical research.
