FMO3 Polyclonal Antibody
FMO3 Polyclonal Antibody
Flavin-containing monooxygenases (FMO) are an important class of drug-metabolizing enzymes that catalyze the NADPH-dependent oxygenation of various nitrogen-,sulfur-, and phosphorous-containing xenobiotics such as therapeutic drugs, dietary compounds, pesticides, and other foreign compounds. The human FMO gene family is composed of 5 genes and multiple pseudogenes. FMO members have distinct developmental- and tissue-specific expression patterns. The expression of this FMO3 gene, the major FMO expressed in adult liver, can vary up to 20-fold between individuals. This inter-individual variation in FMO3 expression levels is likely to have significant effects on the rate at which xenobiotics are metabolised and, therefore, is of considerable interest to the pharmaceutical industry. This transmembrane protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum of many tissues. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Mutations in this gene cause the disorder trimethylaminuria (TMAu) which is characterized by the accumulation and excretion of unmetabolized trimethylamine and a distinctive body odor. In healthy individuals, trimethylamine is primarily converted to the non odorous trimethylamine N-oxide.
The FMO3 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and quantification of FMO3 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody has been meticulously developed and rigorously validated to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
FMO3, also known as flavin-containing monooxygenase 3, is an essential enzyme involved in the metabolism of numerous xenobiotics and endogenous compounds. Dysregulation or deficiency of FMO3 has been implicated in various diseases and disorders, including trimethylaminuria (TMAU) and drug metabolism variability.
The FMO3 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional specificity, binding exclusively to the FMO3 protein with minimal cross-reactivity to other related proteins. This high specificity enables accurate and precise detection of FMO3 expression levels in complex biological samples.
Furthermore, this antibody demonstrates remarkable sensitivity, allowing for the detection of low levels of FMO3 protein expression. This attribute is particularly advantageous when working with limited sample quantities or samples with low FMO3 expression.
The FMO3 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated using various experimental techniques, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. These validation studies have confirmed the antibody's reliability, reproducibility, and consistency across different sample types and experimental conditions.
In addition to its exceptional performance, this antibody is manufactured using state-of-the-art techniques and quality control measures to ensure batch-to-batch consistency and long-term stability. Each batch is thoroughly tested to meet stringent quality standards, guaranteeing reliable and reproducible results.
Overall, the FMO3 Polyclonal Antibody is an indispensable tool for researchers and clinicians studying FMO3 protein expression and its role in various physiological and pathological processes. Its high specificity, sensitivity, and reliability make it an invaluable asset in advancing our understanding of FMO3-related diseases and developing targeted therapeutic interventions.
