GLIS2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
GLIS2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
This gene is a member of the GLI-similar zinc finger protein family and encodes a nuclear transcription factor with five C2H2-type zinc finger domains. The protein encoded by this gene is widely expressed at low levels in the neural tube and peripheral nervous system and likely promotes neuronal differentiation. It is abundantly expressed in the kidney and may have a role in the regulation of kidney morphogenesis. p120 regulates the expression level of this protein and induces the cleavage of this protein's C-terminal zinc finger domain. This protein also promotes the nuclear translocation of p120. Mutations in this gene cause nephronophthisis (NPHP)| an autosomal recessive kidney disease characterized by tubular basement membrane disruption| interstitial lymphohistiocytic cell infiltration| and development of cysts at the corticomedullary border of the kidneys.
The GLIS2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive antibody designed for the detection of GLIS2 protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human GLIS2 protein. The resulting antibody has been purified using protein A affinity chromatography and validated for its specificity and sensitivity through various assays.
The GLIS2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in various applications, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. It has been shown to detect endogenous GLIS2 protein in human and mouse tissues, including kidney, pancreas, and thyroid. This antibody has also been used to study the role of GLIS2 in various biological processes, such as cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.
The GLIS2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is provided as a 100 µg lyophilized powder, which can be reconstituted in 100 µl of distilled water. It is recommended to store the antibody at -20°C upon receipt and to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. This antibody is intended for research use only and is not suitable for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
In summary, the GLIS2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and high-quality tool for the detection of GLIS2 protein in various biological samples. Its specificity and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for researchers studying the role of GLIS2 in various biological processes.
