Nephrocystin-5 Polyclonal Antibody
Nephrocystin-5 Polyclonal Antibody
IQCB1 encodes a nephrocystin protein that interacts with calmodulin and the retinitis pigmentosa GTPase regulator protein. IQ calmodulin-binding motif-containing protein 1 has a central coiled-coil region and two calmodulin-binding IQ domains. It is localized to the primary cilia of renal epithelial cells and connecting cilia of photoreceptor cells. IQ calmodulin-binding motif-containing protein 1 is thought to play a role in ciliary function. Defects in this gene result in Senior-Loken syndrome type 5. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome 6.
The Nephrocystin-5 Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive tool designed for the detection and analysis of Nephrocystin-5 protein expression in various biological samples. This antibody has been meticulously developed and rigorously validated to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Nephrocystin-5, also known as NPHP5, is a crucial protein involved in the regulation of ciliary function and maintenance of renal tubular integrity. Dysregulation or mutations in Nephrocystin-5 have been associated with various renal disorders, including nephronophthisis, a genetic kidney disease characterized by cyst formation and progressive renal failure.
The Nephrocystin-5 Polyclonal Antibody exhibits exceptional specificity, binding exclusively to Nephrocystin-5 protein without cross-reactivity to other related proteins. This high specificity enables accurate and reliable detection of Nephrocystin-5 expression in complex biological samples, such as tissue lysates or cell extracts.
Furthermore, this antibody demonstrates remarkable sensitivity, allowing for the detection of low levels of Nephrocystin-5 protein expression. This attribute is particularly advantageous when studying samples with limited protein availability or low expression levels.
The Nephrocystin-5 Polyclonal Antibody has been extensively validated through various experimental approaches, including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. These validation studies have consistently demonstrated the antibody's ability to specifically detect Nephrocystin-5 protein in different sample types, ensuring accurate and reproducible results.
In summary, the Nephrocystin-5 Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and efficient tool for the detection and analysis of Nephrocystin-5 protein expression. Its exceptional specificity, sensitivity, and validated performance make it an invaluable asset for researchers and clinicians studying renal disorders and related pathologies.
