These family members play a crucial role in the metabolism of lipids. Pancreatic Lipase, also designated pancreatic triacylglycerol acyl hydrolase, is important for dietary fat absorption as it hydrolyses triglycerides into diglycerides, monoglycerides and free fatty acids.
