VASP Polyclonal Antibody
VASP Polyclonal Antibody
Vasodilator-stimulated phosphoprotein (VASP) is a member of the Ena-VASP protein family. Ena-VASP family members contain an EHV1 N-terminal domain that binds proteins containing E/DFPPPPXD/E motifs and targets Ena-VASP proteins to focal adhesions. In the mid-region of the protein, family members have a proline-rich domain that binds SH3 and WW domain-containing proteins. Their C-terminal EVH2 domain mediates tetramerization and binds both G and F actin. VASP is associated with filamentous actin formation and likely plays a widespread role in cell adhesion and motility. VASP may also be involved in the intracellular signaling pathways that regulate integrin-extracellular matrix interactions. VASP is regulated by the cyclic nucleotide-dependent kinases PKA and PKG.
The VASP Polyclonal Antibody is a highly specific and sensitive immunological reagent designed for the detection and quantification of VASP protein in various biological samples. This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human VASP protein. The resulting polyclonal antibody exhibits high affinity and specificity towards VASP protein, making it an ideal tool for various applications in research and diagnostics.
The VASP Polyclonal Antibody is suitable for use in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and other immunoassays. It has been validated for use in human, mouse, and rat samples, and has been shown to detect VASP protein in a variety of tissues and cell types. This antibody is supplied as a liquid formulation in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.
The VASP Polyclonal Antibody is a reliable and versatile tool for the detection and quantification of VASP protein in various biological samples. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential reagent for researchers and clinicians working in the fields of cell biology, immunology, and cancer research. With its superior performance and ease of use, the VASP Polyclonal Antibody is an excellent choice for any laboratory seeking to investigate the role of VASP protein in health and disease.
